Before You Come
The short version
Arrive around 6:15 PM, park in the lot, come in the main door, and tell the first person you see that it's your first visit. Someone will take care of you from there.
For visiting brethren
Bring your current dues card and a government photo ID. If you are not personally known to a member of this lodge, you will be examined by a committee before the meeting opens. This is standard practice everywhere, it takes about ten minutes, and it is genuinely one of the more enjoyable parts of visiting.
If you are travelling from another jurisdiction, let us know in advance if you can — it gives us time to make sure someone is available to sit with you, and we like to recognize visitors properly from the East.
For guests who are not Masons
You are welcome at our fellowship dinner, at open installations, and at any event on our calendar marked open to the public. The tyled meeting itself is for members only — but the meal beforehand is where most of the real fellowship happens anyway, and that table is open to you.
Come as a guest of the lodge. There is no cost, and nobody will ask you to join.
What to wear
- Stated meetings: coat and tie.
- Degree nights: dark suit if you have one; coat and tie otherwise.
- Practice nights and socials: business casual is perfectly fine.
- Public events: come as you are.
If you own an apron from your own lodge, bring it. If you don't have a coat and tie handy, come anyway — nobody has ever been turned away over a jacket.
Parking and access
Parking is available on site. Enter through the main entrance; the dining hall is typically on the ground floor and the lodge room upstairs. If you need step-free access, call ahead and we will make arrangements.
Phones and photography
Phones are silenced and put away once the lodge is opened. Photography is not permitted inside the lodge room during a tyled meeting, but we are happy to take pictures with visitors before or after.
